"this precious house could have been built"

Haha, I love that!

I would love that! The only problem is adding too much interaction to the build focus app might cause the build focus app to be a distraction itself!

This actually works for me IF I have the distracting tab and Build focus tab in the same chrome window.

If I have the distracting tab in one chrome window AND it's the currently selected tab, then I open Build focus in a different chrome window, when I try to focus, the window asking whether to shut them or not pops up for less than a second than disappears and the distracting tab has changed to a failed build focus session :(

I get that but for example if you clicked on by accident, out of habit, which I do a fair bit, then you need some way to cancel it, or some situations you do genuinely need to cancel it and stop working for some reason

maybe the settings could be hidden under one of those tiny "show advanced settings" links!

Personally the carousel would work for me but only because I'd only have a couple of different lists set up and it'd work quite nicely to just switch between the two quite easily. Though I can see it being a pain for someone if they have a few more lists so I'd say if you had to choose one, the dropdown would cater for more people.

Or it could be an option in the advanced settings for carousel/dropdown!

Some of these were actually things I was thinking about posting but looks like you already thought of them!

I especially love the idea of achievements, it adds another level to just focussing for 25 minutes!

Upgrading buildings is a good idea too, though I don't think it should be something the user has to manually upgrade, more like after a focus session, a building upgrades instead of getting a new building - if the user has to upgrade buildings themselves, Buildfocus might become a distraction itself?

Or maybe you can have a setting to choose whether you'd prefer your focus sessions to build new buildings or upgrade them. "Prefer" because if you've already upgraded everything to the max, then it should build a new building instead!

I don't think I'd want to lose my entire city every week but I do agree that after a while the town gets so large that it doesn't feel like it's growing anymore

Hmm another thought, it's possible the browser was minimised at the time, in which case that'd get fixed by the resizing fix

Nope, my browser was just normal sized! Sometimes it was maximised and this still happened. But it does seem to be caused by the other windows maximised in front of the browser though, I think!

Or not, I just tried it with another window maximised in front and it loaded fine

Uhh... I have 3 monitors? maybe that makes a difference. There are tons of weirdo bugs when you have 3 monitors. Other than that I got nothing! Would be easier to test this with a one minute version of buildfocus :P

No messages in the console unfortunately XD

Though I can see that canvas width and height are 0!

<div class="city" data-bind="render: { source: renderCity, afterRender: pageLoaded }">

<canvas width="0" height="0"></canvas>

</div>
